Yes, Continuous Enrollment applies to all students from PreK through 12th grade.

We are no longer asking for tuition deposits from returning families!
Your faithful commitment to SMA year after year is appreciated, and we want to eliminate any barriers for returning families. New students will still pay the tuition deposit upon acceptance when they complete the CEC.

SMA will post updated tuition and calendar information on the Parent Resources Board in Blackbaud every year in January.

Financial Aid awards are considered annually, which means that each family is required to complete a new Financial Aid application every year. More information about Financial Aid policies and procedures are located in the Parent Resources Board on Blackbaud.

A family can appeal for a release from their contract based on extenuating circumstances. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Families must fill out and submit the "Intention to withdraw form" found in the Parent Resource board by March 1st to avoid any penalty fees. In order to complete the withdrawal process at any time during Continuous Enrollment, parents will need to complete an exit interview before moving forward with the withdrawal process.

If you submit the Intention to Withdraw form by March 1st, there will not be a penalty. Any notification submitted after that date will incur a penalty fee.

• After March 1st, the penalty will be $250 for each Day student and $500 for each Boarding student.
• After June 1st, the penalty will be equivalent to the first tuition payment for each student.
• After the school year begins, parents are obligated to pay the full year's tuition.

Per the Continuous enrollment Contract, a student's academics and/or behavior can cause them to be placed on Suspended Enrollment. Additionally, families who fall behind on tuition payments may also be placed on Suspended Enrollment. Should these problems persist, the CEC will be terminated at the end of the school year at the discretion of administrators. If the student is allowed to return to the original CEC, there will be a Conditional Enrollment Addendum offered.
